- Bora Bora's lagoon, viewed by many as "the most beautiful in the world", is surrounded by an amazing coral reef which creates numerous islets where colors go from light turquoise to deep dark blue. 

- Manta rays: out of all the islands, it is only at Matira Point that manta rays have made their home. You can admire their amazing ballet without causing as much as a disturbance to them... Furthermore, the island's marine fauna is rather exceptional  with nearly 700 species of tropical fish. Also, don't miss the Coral Garden an amazing natural underwater park to the Southeast of the island. 

- Matira's beach is reputed for its fine white sand beach and warm, shallow water.
