With an average year round
temperature of 79° F and few extremes above or below, there is blissful almost
continuous comfort. South of the Equator, seasons are "reversed" for
northerners: November through April is "summer", May through October
"winter". While Tahitian winter may be slightly cooler and drier, seasonal
differences are insignificant, making a visit
enjoyable anytime of the year. Even the rainy Tahitian summer season has plenty of
sunny days. Travelers who need air conditioning can find it in the bigger
hotels, but most will be content with ceiling fans and ocean breezes.
